In the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to and being featured in a number of open‑source and technology communities. Below is a short summary of recent posts and events that highlight my ongoing work across AI, open source, and edge computing.
TikTok for Developers
I’ve authored or co‑authored several articles on TikTok’s developer platform, including:
TikTok for Developers × Stanford (March 2025) – I delivered the opening remarks at a special event with Stanford University, outlining our vision for multimedia innovation and highlighting the open‑source Lynx framework.
UC Berkeley Code Lab (April 2025) – Co‑authored a recap of a hands‑on code lab focused on ethical AI and governance, where I joined students and researchers to build AI agents and discuss open source best practices.
Me2We 2025 workshop – Helped lead a workshop teaching attendees how to build no‑code AI agents.
LF AI & Data Day Singapore recap – Co‑organized and reported on the 2025 “Agent for SWE” event hosted by TikTok.
Webinars and releases – Partnered on several posts highlighting privacy‑technology webinars and releasing open‑source projects such as InfiniEdge AI 1.0 and 1.1.
These posts emphasize TikTok’s commitment to open collaboration, privacy‑enhancing technologies, and developer empowerment.
LF Edge & Akraino
Over at the LF Edge community, I continue to advocate for open‑source edge computing:
Governing Board Chair Interview (2023) – LF Edge published an interview about my role as Governing Board Chair, where I discussed the future of edge computing and the importance of collaborative ecosystems.
Open AI‑Driven Networking (2024) – Shared insights at the ONE Summit about how AI can drive smarter networking solutions.
InfiniEdge AI Code Lab recap (2025) – Authored a recap of our San Jose State University code lab demonstrating the latest features of InfiniEdge AI.
Akraino technical leadership – Previously served as Chair of the Akraino Technical Steering Committee and have long supported Akraino’s mission to build open, deployable edge stacks.
Open Compute Project (OCP)
The OCP community has been another important home for my work:
Hackathon Judge & Talks – Over the years I have served as a judge at OCP hackathons and delivered talks such as “EdgeFaaS Collaborative R&D for Open Edge Scenarios” and “OpenStack, OCP, and Huawei.” I’ve also presented on “OpenEdge on Arm” and contributed to various OCP networking workshops.
I’m grateful to all of these communities for their support and collaboration. If you’d like to learn more about any of these initiatives or get involved, feel free to reach out or explore the linked events and posts.
